APST1, getting to know the students is at the top of the APSTs for a reason. Taking an interest in your students and how they learn is crucial to succeeding in teaching.
In this exit ticket activity, completed in my second practicum, students completed a short questionnaire to help me get to know them better. A large number of students completed the ticket though there were mixed levels of usefulness. My favourite response was the student who asked me to explain all mathematics in Crash Royale terms.
I would do this again in my last practicum but I would prefer to change the wording on a couple of the questions.
